I'm so excited!
I am leaving tomorrow with Blake to go visit Dana. We are flying up to DFW where my gracious sister-in-law, Summer, will pick us up for Blake's first visit with Mimi. I can't wait.
Pictures to come!

It's a hard knock life...
Hunter is still sick! This has been 5 days and counting of fever and just a general not-feeling-so-good. It's been no fun for him. Of course the weather has been nothing but gorgeous and warm and I've had to try my best to keep him laying low. That is not the easiest task. I realize that even when I try to get out to run some errands or make a dash out of the house it doesn't bode well for Hunter. He ends up hitting the wall and his fever rises again and there we are...back at square one.
I took him to the doctor Monday for a strep test, but it was negative. However, his tonsils are swollen and definitely infected, so there is something going on. We might head back today to see what else we can do. We've been hitting the Children's Motrin every 6 hours for days. It helps initially and then once it's wearing out- so are we!
I'll have to post a picture later of my little patient. He's got the crazy hair and has been sporting some really awesome wardrobe choices. He wanted to go to the doctor in a pirate shirt, shorts and his cowboy boots. He was quite a sight!!
Off I go. We are hoping today will be the turn-around!! Pretty please!!

Blake's Baptism
Last Sunday was a special day for our family. Blakey boo was baptised! He wore the same gown that my dad wore back in 1953, that all of the Stouffer kids wore and now both of my boys have worn. He looked precious- even in a dress!
We had a great lunch at the house afterwards with all of my family. Chris' family was not able to make it down here since Dana is still in the hospital, but we took lots of pictures to share with them. Dana loved Hunter's Baptism Day and came down back in February of 2006 to help me make batch after batch of chicken crepes. I knew how much she loved Valentine's Day and thought it was that much more special to have Blake's Baptism on Valentine's weekend. I also served several "Dana" recipes for our lunch.
Blake in the generational gown!
He looks like a baby doll.
Cutie pie!!
My Dining room table all spiffed up!
All of the guys...

ALL of my boys at 3 months...
Chris at 3 months (back in 1979)
Hunter at 3 months (March 2006)
Blake at 3 months (February 2009)
We were supposed to visit Dana this weekend and she was going to meet Blake for the first time. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, Hunter got sick Friday and we didn't get to go. We are planning on next weekend as long as we are all 100%. I am having fun working on something special for Chris' 30th birthday that is coming up. Funny how those birthdays sneak up on you! I thought this was neat to see all of the boys around 3 months.

It's a Rodeo around here!!
It's Rodeo season here in SA! We made a trip out to the grounds last weekend with the boys and the Spielhagens and had a blast. It was fun to see Hunter and Kate walk around together and Blake and Luke both slept the ENTIRE time in their strollers. The big kids rode ponies, did a couple of carnival rides (well, Hunter did since Kate is still so wittle bitty) and had a blast in the petting zoo. We're hoping to get an evening next week to get Hunter out to the actual rodeo. I think he would love it this year.
Ok.. get ready for lots of pics!
Cari and I with Luke and Blake. We had the Spielhegens over and picked up burgers. It was such a fun night. Hunter and Kate had a blast doing the jump castle and eating ice cream cones for dessert. So fun! Have I ever mentioned how grateful I am for such precious friends??
Hunter got his first REAL pair of boots before the rodeo. He wanted to wear them all weekend. Check out this outfit that he wore down the street on his bike to play at the playground. Love it!
What a heartbreaker! Little boys love their mommas!
Hunter has been fighting me tooth and nail about nap time. Eventually it catches up with him!
Let's RODEO!!
This is what Blake and Luke did the entire time at the rodeo... sleep!
Kate and Hunter watching in awe one of the first carnival rides we saw.
Hay! What a cute pic!
Loving the animals at the petting zoo.
Riding Cowboy!
Somebody is 29! I had my birthday last week and Chris and I enjoyed an actual date night with no kids. We really had a great time. This isn't the best picture because we took it ourselves. Those never turn out the best.
We'll end on a sweet note...
