Getting a new A/C installed (a second unit) to cool the addition we added a year ago. The original unit wasn't cutting it with these hot summer days! This is the hole where one of the guys accidently stepped through the ceiling. Fabulous! I always hated that light fixture anyway, so there you go!

Long time no blog....

It's been over a month~ and I still don't have my most recent pics on the computer. I need to get with it.

Funny story.... Hunter is obsessed with cars and trucks. Not news to anyone who has been around him lately. He talks constantly about which trucks have hitches and that they can pull a trailer. He also talks about gas tanks and points them out on every car we pass. Along with that obsession, he will remember little details about people's cars. He noticed that the side view mirror on Blake's (my brother) truck was broken. When we asked Blake what had happened, he said that my dad, "Babs" to Hunter, had hit it backing out of the carport on the column. A couple of days later, here was our conversation
Hunter: "The mirror on Blake's car is broken."
Me: "I know. Who broke it?"
Hunter: "Babs... that little stinker!"

Just goes to show that he listening when we talk to him!

Another Funny Story....
As we were passing by our church the other day, Hunter announced, "There's my church!" I replied, "You're right buddy. Who do we learn about at church?" Hunter's response as serious as could be... "The ladies."

A little background... Hunter refers to the women who are his Sunday School teachers as "The ladies." When we were having severe separation anxiety with the entire church drop off thing, he would say, "No my want to go see the ladies." Sometimes he would even bring them up at home and say, "No ladies coming to my house." Now, he is excited about church and wants to see the ladies. As a matter of fact, he taught the ladies at church about gas tanks and hitches on all of the play cars in the classroom 2 weeks ago. Hilarious! Anyway, he associates church with "The Ladies!" For now at least!

Baseball Enthusiast

After a weekend full of watching and cheering on baseball, we have come home to a new obsession. He has wanted to play with the baseball that Blake signed for him and did not put it down the entire game on Sunday. He stood in line with all of the other big time fans (i.e. kids ranging from about 4-12) to get his ball autographed by his Uncle Blake. Today, I walked in to find him with Chris' golf glove on and the baseball in the other hand. We've spent some quality time with our baseball tee the past couple of days too. He keeps telling me that he needs a helmet. Do they make them this small?

Guess who's...

...gonna be a big brother? Since we apparently love holiday babies, this baby is due at the end of November, but is likely to be here much earlier. We are so excited and can't wait to see Hunter as a big brother!

Bringing luck to the Aggies~

A couple of weeks ago, we went to College Station with my parents to cheer on the baseball team. Hunter must be good luck, because they swept their opponents that weekend. Hunter had a blast being with Babs and Sha Sha. He set up his own little station in the bleachers and played cars under a make-shift tent we set up over him. The highlight of the weekend was Hunter getting to see his Uncle Blake. He also loved getting to run the bases after the game. He didn't quite get it and circled the pitchers mound a couple of times, but eventually caught onto the path the other kids were running. He still talks about "runnin' the bases" and "Blake's game." Can't wait to get back to cheer you on some more Blake! We loved seeing you!

First Real Haircut!

Hunter got his first real haircut yesterday! We went out to Sharkey's Cuts for Kids, where he got to pick from sitting in a Hummer, an airplane, or a purple and pink Jeep. Knowing Hunter, he tried each one out at one point and finally settled on the purple Jeep! Ha! He had woken up that morning at 5:00, so the drive out there put him to sleep. He woke up once we got there and did great! He loved driving the cars and the fact that his favorite shows were on the little flatscreen TV's. It was a fun morning!

Gig 'em for the weekend

We are heading to Aggie land for the weekend. Hoping to bring good luck to the team and hoping that it's a great weekend for Blake. We love going to cheer him on!

Hunter's imagination

Yesterday, Hunter was into the grocery cart and his play food. I decided to show him how to play "grocery store" and set out his play food and some real things from the pantry. He shopped over and over and I even gave him an expired credit card to pretend to pay. He was more into trying to find a pocket to put it in and loved putting the food into the plastic bags. It's so fun to see his imagination at work! Each trip to his play store he bought everything that was sitting out. I wonder where he gets that from?
